Amy Needs Your Help!
Amy needs your help. Yesterday, our sweet Amy was under anesthesia for her spay surgery when she encountered an issue with her blood clotting.
She was immediately rushed to the emergency vet by our team.
With time against her, Dr. McGuire & Dr. Yablonovich from Firefly Vet came along on the ride to keep a close eye on Amy's vitals.
Amy spent the night at the emergency vet, so that she could receive around-the-clock care she needed. This afternoon, Amy's red blood cell count dropped, causing her to need a plasma transfusion. While Amy's condition is stable now, she will need to stay another night at the emergency vet.
Our vet partners are hopeful and are continuing to monitor Amy's health closely. Amy has had more bloodwork and testing done to determine the next best step for her recovery.
