Muddy Paws Rescue Receives $35,000 Grant from PetSmart Charities to Help More Adoptable Pets Find Families in NYC
NEW YORK, NY – FEB 1, 2024 – Muddy Paws Rescue has received a $35,000 grant from PetSmart Charities® to help prepare more pets in New York City for adoption. Some four million pets find themselves in U.S. shelters each year. In partnership with PetSmart Charities, Muddy Paws will bring adoptable pets to PetSmart Flatiron in support of National Adoption Week, taking place March 18 - 24, 2024.
This grant will help Muddy Paws save the lives of more than 1,000 dogs and puppies in New York by funding veterinary care, critical supplies and support for fosters.
“Since 2016, Muddy Paws has rescued more than 7,600 dogs and puppies - a feat we could not have reached without the support of PetSmart Charities,” said Lisa Blum, Development Director for Muddy Paws Rescue. “This grant helps ensure that the pups in our care are given everything they need - from supplies as simple as toys to specialized medical exams. We’re grateful to PetSmart Charities for being our partner in lifesaving.”

PetSmart Charities National Adoption Week is a special time during the year.
