I started volunteering and fostering with Muddy Paws because I wanted to give back to the organization that brought me my dog, but I stayed because of the community.
It's rare to find a group of people who are as passionate, kind and supportive as the MPR pack. Whether it's dog or human-related questions, someone is always willing to jump in and help out. I love volunteering at adoption events and seeing the joy on an adopters face the first time they meet their potential new pup. It's a life-changing moment for them and exciting to be a small part of it.

As a member of the Foster Team, I’m able to help fosters welcome pups into loving homes while they find their forever family. Having such supportive and passionate Foster Buddies is what first led me to volunteer with MPR. It’s such a reward to watch our foster pups transform from transport to adoption. You come because you love dogs, and you stay for the people!

Volunteering with MPR was one of the best decision I made since moving to the city. The people are some of the most generous and passionate people I’ve ever met. Their dedication, selflessness and creativity is endlessly inspiring. Getting to be surrounded by such genuine people while saving so many lives is truly like nothing else.
Plus, MPR gave me my own rescue pup, Chef, who is my entire world. I love getting part to help give other pups their own happy endings every weekend.

I grew up in a cat household, consistantly asking Santa for a puppy every year since age 6. Volunteering with Muddy Paws Rescue allows me to get my much-needed puppy fix and support a cause I’m passionate about.
From working adoption events and transports, to welcoming fosters into my home - it has easily been one of the best decisions I’ve made. Not only are the dogs incredibly cute, but I’ve found a sense of community I didn’t know I needed. I’m grateful to have joined MPR and help rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs in need.
