Muddy Paws Rescue Receives PEDIGREE Foundation Grant
Every year, Muddy Paws Rescue saves the lives of 1,000 pups through foster-based rescue and adoption. They recently received a $50,000 grant from PEDIGREE Foundation to support the purchase of a new mobile adoption van.
For the past five years, Muddy Paws Rescue has relied on an adoption van that was built two decades ago to house cats. This van has become a burden, due to ongoing costly repairs and constant maintenance, despite being essential to their operations.
“As an organization without a brick-and-mortar facility, our weekend adoption events are really the only way that people can meet our pups,” explained Rachael Ziering, Founding Executive Director at Muddy Paws Rescue. “We are grateful to PEDIGREE Foundation for their generous support in helping us get a new mobile adoption vehicle. This new van is critical to our lifesaving efforts, and we look forward to saving tens of thousands of lives over the next 20 years!”
This new van will:
Increase the number of adoptable dogs that we are able to bring to events.
Be designed to custom-fit specific event operations.
Offer a much safer and more reliable way of transporting dogs to and from events.
Significantly reduce current spending on diesel oil and ongoing repairs.
Eliminate the time that staff and volunteers spend troubleshooting sudden, unplanned mechanical emergencies.
