Elsie’s perma-smile never seemed to disappear, especially when she was with her foster Emily. After a foster-to-adopt placement wasn’t the best fit, Emily realized that Elsie was where she was meant to be all along - with her!

Rob was there the moment Donuts was born, witnessed his first steps, and knew that he was meant to be there with Donuts for the rest of his life as his adopter!

Minnie was extremely underweight upon her arrival to NYC and couldn’t seem to keep food or water down. She was diagnosed with megaesophagus and had to eat her meals in a special chair (she’s fancy), but that didn’t stop her adopter from giving this special girl a wonderful life!

Little Waylon was pretty scared of the big world, but his fears seemed to disappear when he was with other dogs. Now he’s the happiest dude around, totally in love with his #MuddyPawsPack alum sister!

When we pulled Tally from Animal Care Centers of NYC, our Foster Coordinator Brittany took her in as a foster despite promising herself she’d take a break. It was clearly meant to be, because Tally turned out to be a forever foster (aka an adoption)!

When Rita arrived at MPR she was shy, scared and withdrawn. Even with all the love from her fosters, what she needed was a canine friend to show her how to “dog”. After many months, Rita found her perfect match, and perhaps a twin brother!

We’ll never know exactly what happened to Jeffrey before an accident required his leg to be amputated, but we do know that he found a wonderful family who loves him for the wonderful pup he is!

At first, Millie was a bit of a handful, but our Founding Executive Director saw her potential! With the proper training and an outlet for her energy, Millie was able to be a good girl and find her perfect family.
